Two Lines I will never forget

Memories.... some are vivid , while some are foggy ..

Memories of rejection are pretty harsh but in a retrospect I find them pretty funny, I mean indeed they were hard to swallow back then .. but then again time is a great friend :)

I have two instances where single lines shook my world .. maybe it's not a wise move to write them over here .. but I feel, sharing my stupidity gives me a feeling that I am normal , I do commit mistake like just another average Joe .. in short gives me a feeling that I am alive and kicking :) What's the fun in life if there are no downs but only ups ..

First (2006) -
Boy : I love you, wanna marry you..
Girl : Aukad kya hai tumahari .. ho kya tum ....
(What a stupid 17 year old kid I was .. talking about marriage, I had this strange notion that clearing JEE deems u eligible to demand anything out of anyone .. good that my view stood corrected before I did some serious damage to the society :P)

Second (2010) -
Boy : All these time, when I was taking you around .. roaming around with you .. taking out time for you even when I was bogged down with work .. why do you think I did all that .. doesn't it show how special you are to me
Girl : You had no other option but me!
(Wow .. I hope Adam had heard it before ... and I am not the first guy to hear this)

To both these one liners, I had answers ready but never felt the need to reply .. because these lines can never be answered in a polite way. Sometimes non violence do seem like a great option :)

Teleportation Protocol

From Star Wars to Stargate Atlantis all of the Sci-Fi movies/tv serial has always painted a future where the mode of transportation is the uber cool teleportation device/warp gate etc. etc.

So lets have a look at the so called teleportation device and ponder a bit if our current technology can actually be used in it :P

Teleportation consists of 3 important steps,

1. Disassembling the subject into bits of information (packet formation),
2. Transporting the packets to the destination,
3. Reassembling of packets and reconstruction of the subject .

Looks simple but step 1 and 3 are still in infancy.

However step 2, is very similar to our current day data packet transfer from source to destination.

As a network engineer I am tempted to propose the use of UDP or TCP as the underlying protocol for the packet transfer, and then I am horrified with the thought what might happen if we use UDP...

TCP analysis for the next time :)

Non Veg vs. Veg

This is an age old topic on which human beings have fought over .. viz. should we consume non veg items like meat, egg etc. as in the process of consuming non veg items we kill an innocent life.

Well i won't dip my foot in this debatable subject, I will just post a small comic strip that flashed across my mind during one such heated discussion.

Recession Effect

Recession has shown it's ugly face last year and still continues to terrify everyone around the globe. Companies are taking strict measures to cut down the extra expenditure and minimize the losses. The Company I work for is no exception, Initially i.e. before recession there used to be free biscuits and diet coke lying around in the break out area waiting to be picked up. But now a days the biscuits have vanished in thin air and the coke is no longer free but chained with a 20 rupees price tag. And all the employees have made their truce with this fact , obviously who wants to loose his/her job over some stupid biscuit.
However something funny happened last friday, I was about to make a cup of coffee for myself and suddenly I realize that there were no sugar packets over there , and it so happened that on thrusday night I saw on television about the recent hike in price of sugar, I was terrified with the mere thought that the sugar packets might face the same plight as the biscuits. However proving my fears unnecessary, the sugar packet repository was soon replenished. :)

Learning to drive 2

Writing about others in your blog can cause you a lot of trouble, for instance when 'S' from the previous strip saw my yesterday's post, she was furious that I wrote bad about her. :(
However she is a cool person, after 5 minutes her question was , 'Where is my CAR , it's not fair that only you get to drive a fancy car'. So as a tribute to her, here is the new strip dedicated to her.

Co-incidentally this is how 'S' learnt driving :)

Learning to drive..

This afternoon I was having a discussion with one of my colleagues regarding driving a four wheeler, unfortunately I am yet to learn how to drive one .. and the discussion boiled down to the fact what will motivate me to learn driving on first place. Considering the fact I already know how to drive a bike and will soon own a cool bike, it seems very unlikely that my drive to learn driving will be anywhere near normal.

Before I go any further I must say my colleague has a bad habit of correcting others, and fails to understand the fact that people don't like to be corrected all the time. So cooking up all the facts and adding a touch of my imagination I came with the following cartoon strip.. hope you will enjoy it :)

Disclaimer : No human being/car were harmed during the production of this cartoon strip, and everything written/drawn here is to be taken in a sporty spirit.

Cya guys around.

Drawing after Office Hours..

It Seems 'Art' is in the air .. not only me, a lot of my friends are drawing these days .. One of my office colleague drew a picture of Naruto on her white board, inspired by it, I thought of taking a shot at drawing cartoon/anime characters.

After 6 years I am picking up pencil and eraser so please don't expect a lot :P

here's the picture of sesshomaru I drew

The artist in me gets resurrected..

It has been 4 months that I am working and getting paid for it .. but good things always come with a catch, in this case it being working at a place which is 2500km away from my hometown. This great distance makes sure that I am unable to visit my parents more than once in a year.
Cutting the long heart touching story short, I got my vacation from 18th december to 3rd january.

My hometown in really cold, when I reached the station at night 1'o'clock it was roughly 5C and I was wearing a t-shirt... brrrr..

The next 2 weeks were fun as most of the time I was under the blanket drawing comics :)
(I heard that girls love artists and poet so thought of giving it a try)

Find few of them below..
